Small Business Marketing on Google Plus is Legit! How To [#Infographic]
It wasn’t that long ago that I suggested to my readers that Google Plus was not worth the time to engage in fully. Well that was then and this is now! I think Small Business Marketing on Google Plus is not only legit, but a must.
Sorry small business owners and real estate agents, I tried to not have to suggest 1 more profile to keep track of.
Why Google Plus is Legit
Not just because it is owned by Google, they have tried Social Media in the past and failed (Orkut). However, if it is a social media site that is run by Google and it is thriving, that can not be ignored.
I have shared with you recently the importance of Social Signals in relation to your Website SEO. Social signals are the +1’s, shares, likes, comments, tweets, pins, and links that are generated on Social Media Platforms. Signals to the search engines, Google Bing & Yahoo, that your site is worth ranking. I suppose it goes without saying that getting Google +1 links to your website might be a pretty strong indicator to Google that your website is worthy of being ranked.
There was never any question about the layout, features, security, ease of use, and overall userability of the platform. Learning how to do Small Business Marketing on Google Plus might take a minute to figure out… but it is worth it.
I have also shared about a thing called Google Authorship, whereby you link your WordPress Websites to your Google+ Profile in order to tell the Google search engine who the author of your blog content is. Doing this, will put your Google Plus Profile image next to all of your blog posts. This further legitimizes your content, and brings visual attention to your posts.
In addition I have shared recently about the importance of having your Small Business create a Google + Business Page for Local SEO. Making sure that you set your business as a location and verifying your (NAP) Business Name, Business Address, and Business Phone Number.
I have talked repeatedly about the power of Linkedin Groups, and Google Plus has a similar feature called Communities.

If you need a place to send your clients to give you reviews that are going to stay in one place and will be Extremely Highly Indexed on the Google Search Engine? Google Reviews is the place.
These are just a few of the reasons why I think it is important that you are on Google +…
