related content plugin

This Related Content Plugin is Awesome

My Related Content Plugin Timeline:

Recent Posts > Related Posts >YARPP > LinkWithin > NRelate

And unless something significant happens I will be sticking with NRelate Related Content Plugin!

What is a Related Content Plugin?

A WordPress plugin that displays content (posts and/or pages) that relate to the page it is on.

For example after reading this post you may be interested in reading about other WordPress Plugins.  If that is the case, and my Related Content Plugin is doing its job, you should see a few articles that meet that criteria at the bottom of this page.

Why is it a Handy Tool?

It is good for SEO, your Bounce Rate, and Your Conversion Rate!

SEO:  The tool automatically builds internal links to your site.  Making it easier for the spiders to index all your content.

Bounce Rate:  (Bounce Rate is the % of visitors that land on your site and take no action, or hit the back button)  Give your readers a reason to take another action.

Conversion Rate:

“…a low bounce rate implies higher likelihood of conversion” – Search Engine Watch

It just makes sense the longer you can keep people on your site the more actions they will be inclined to take.

nRelate Plugin

Why do I love this particular Related Content Plugin so much.  Simple, it does not HOG all my resources, it has beautiful styling, and it works Awesome.

I first found about NRelate while reading the list of plugins that WPEngine Hosting does not allow, and when it came to Related Content Plugins they would allow only the plugins that hosted the related content on their own servers and that included nRelate.  So I gave it a try, because that is what I do…  And love it.

It is really simple and self-explanatory

Choose from one of their many beautiful styles are create your own.

Additional Fly Out Option:

You have probably already noticed that when you got about half way done reading this post a couple Related Posts Suggestions came flying out from right to left at the bottom of the screen.

This feature actually requires an additional Related Content Flyout Plugin.

Both plugins are Free.  They do this in hopes that you will take part in their partner advertising program.  I do not.  That is not to say that there is not value in it.  I just have not had the time to check it out.
