When you hear website conversion some of you may be wondering if I am planning on changing your Websites Belief System. And while that is accurate to some degree that is not quite what I mean.

Is that your website should be practicing the “act of converting”. Many of us for a long time have thought of our website’s like a Business Card on the Internet. It is a place where people can find out what services or products we offer, what we are about, how to locate us or contact us, and look at pretty pictures.
But did you know that your website could be building your lead funnel while you are sleeping, eating, on vacation, meeting with clients, etc? Your Website can be Converting!
How SEO and Website Conversion Work Together
Let’s assume that every business on the planet would like more people to come to their website. I once read that the average number of unique visitors (measured by IP address it is basically 1 new person that visited your site) that a Real Estate Agent gets to their website per month is… 2. That sucks.

Example Scenario: Let’s say that you decided that you wanted more people to visit your website and you called me and wanted to start a new SEO Marketing Campaign. I would say great, we will generate a ton of new traffic to visit your website. Everyone is happy, right? Maybe.
Dilemma: Your website might not be converting. From a business standpoint what difference does it make if a thousand new people visit your website, if they do not contact you, and you can not contact them. None.
Solution: Website Conversion. Your website needs to be strategically designed in a way that motivates new visitors to “Take Action”!

A “Call To Action” is anything on your website or other marketing material that motivates, urges, suggests, tells the visitor to take some kind of action on the site.

These are all simple and common Call’s To Action. What 1 would you prefer your potential clients do? I think most would say Call Me, or Click Here to Buy Now. However, it is much less important what you would want them to do and much more important what they actually will do.
You Need To Decide What You Want Your Website To Do
Put your Business Website to work for you. Turn your website into a Lead Generating, Sales Funneling, Database Collecting, Traffic Converting Machine.
In order for this to happen you need to be able to say… “I want my website to “Call To Action” ___________ so that my website visitors take this action _____________.
You need to decide if your Marketing Strategy is to get people to call you, is it to build an email list, get people to visit your store, etc? Then design your website around that strategy. If done correctly you can count on a percentage of that website traffic to be Converted into Leads and Sales.
